CORRUPTION COURT DIVISION IN TANZANIA
During
2015’s campaign Dr John Pombe Magufuri promised Tanzania citizens that he will
establish the court which will deal with the corruption and money laundry cases
in order to easier the process in dealing with these cases.
T
he members of the national Assembly passed the bill on the special court
division which will deal with these kind of cases. As he promised President
John Pombe Magufuri has already assented the law which establishes this special
court division.
Tanzania
were confused with this facts that, there will be establishment of the
corruption court, so they were thinking that this court will be the court like
the primary court, district court and high court, but in real sense what has
been established is not the court per se but it is the division in the court like
other court divisions like Land division and Labor division.
The
Prime Minister Kassim Majaliwa announced before the national assembly that
after the establishment of the special division court on corruption, there
would be no delay of disposal of cases.
The special court started to work since 1st
of July 2016, So Tanzanian has new hope now on dealing and combating
corruption.
Hence
we congratrate President John Pombe Magufuri for fulfilling one of his campaign
promises to voters, the citizen have full of hope to him.
